The Studio Chief Is YOU!!!
Reprinted from the blog "The Exchange"
by Aaron Myers

When Louis B. Mayer stepped off of the lot of MGM in 1951, he took with him an age that was unique in style, and could not be replicated.  Under his care, many Hollywood hopefuls were created, groomed, and maintained.  Boasting to have more stars than heaven, Mayer created a system that gave the individual no other choice, but to become a star.  After Mayer left, the star system left with him, and today only a few are left who were products of that era (Olivia de Havilland, Lauren Bacall, and Mickey Rooney).  Although gone, 58 years later there is a system that allows actors and actresses to become their own studio chief, and if utilized correctly, an entertainer will begin to see their career as a business, that can be successful, and a business that can grow.

Holdon Log & Performer Track is a system that has taken the Entertainment Industry by storm. Their products can be found in the hands of performers as they audition, prepare for performances, plan the events they will attend, and review their success/strategy. Every tool that the studio system used in the Golden Era of Hollywood has been packaged here and is being put right into the hands of the performer. Describing the utilization of this tool as, “Changing the tide of your career”, Brian Vermeire (CEO of Holdon Log & Performer Track) recalled how he noticed this simple organizing tool being kept by Kristina Hughes (President & COO) in a spiral notebook.  In this notebook, she could not only organize her schedule, appointments, auditions, and results, but by using that notebook she could also review all she had done, document patterns, and use these patterns to advance her career.  Taking that concept from a notebook to the local printers, he performed the first of many upgrades of the concept.  Now, available online, entertainers spanning from the “stage to the screen” utilize this system, and have great things to say.

Todd Cahoon, a recent Guest Star on Desperate Housewives stated, “After 10 years of being in the business, I’ve learned that relationships and the business side of the Entertainment Industry is just as important as talent.  PerformerTrack is the best way to manage that!”

After speaking with Mr. Vermeire, he gave some insight about the future of their product.  Looking outside the scope of just “Los Angeles”, performer track will be reaching out to its clientele once again allowing them to take ownership of their crafts, and expanding their visions outside of the “traditional scope” which is the limitations of Hollywood.  Stating that, “There is so much happening outside of Hollywood that can benefit entertainers…”, I can expect the clientele of this service will be taking advantage of yet another upgrade, that will undoubtedly take the careers of many to the next level.

In this blog, I am not saying that Holdon Log & Performer Track will get you booked on productions nor am I saying that they will make you a star; but what I will say, is that if you are serious about your career, you will become familiar with these services and I might be seeing you in “all the old familiar places”…like the Oscars!

So when thinking of your career, maybe that other famous producer could give us all a piece of advice:

“The success of a production depends on the attention paid to detail.”
-David O. Selznick
